You're So Sweet...

Happy Bellariffic Friday!  For today's challenge I decided to make a super sweet Valentine card.  Big surprise right?  I also pulled one of my favorite Uptown Girl's,  Ava loves to Celebrate with her spanky cake to meet our Sweet challenge this week.

I kept the color pretty simple on this one.  Lots of white space with hints of bright pink.  I also added some texture with a Cuttlebug dry embossing folder.  And I borrowed the bright pink ribbon from a Victoria Secret bag.  I love recycling or repurposing.

Next week's challenge is another sketch...hope you can play along.  And in case you were thinking of shopping the sale in the Bella Shop, now is it...you can get an extra 15% off all prices, EVEN SALE PRICES, using the following code from today, February 1st - Sunday, Febrauary 3rd (Midnight MST).  Just use code INEEDTOPURGE2013.  Da Bella is in the mood to clear the shelves to make room for some new stuff.  Lucky for you!

Happy shopping and enjoy your weekend!

Please Bee Mine

Are you staying warm this weekend?  We've had some very cold temperatures here and we spent the weekend up in Lake Placid, NY.  The mornings started at -17 F but the days got up to 14 F and we did get to spend some time outdoors hiking around the winter wonderland.  A great time was had by all.

I'm back with another Valentine's card to share with you.  And it's another one of my favorite Christy Croll images - BeeMine Huggabugg.

I told you I was on a holiday roll!  Isn't she sweet?  I think she's so sweet that you all bought her from the Bella shop too!  She was in the specials bin when I made her and now she's gone.  Hopefully she'll be back in stock soon.

I combined one of my favorite Valentine's Day paper packs - Basic Grey Bittersweet and my copics.  And I also gave my new MFT Beautiful Bows dies a try with Bazzil paper.  I love the effect.

I'm off to give another Pinterest recipe a try for tonight's dinner.  Stay warm and enjoy your week!

bffABUGGS

Here we are again at the end of another week.  But that means it's Bellariffic Friday again too!  Woo Hoo.  So this week we were challenged with a sketch.  I might have embellished it a little - and hopefully you'll like that I did.  I've colored up a fun Christy Croll image - bffABUGGS.  Believe it or not I even colored this one with prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol.  Fellow Bella Babe Elaine colored up some images this week with her pencils and we all know how much she loves her markers so I decided to dig out my pencils again too!  I'm so happy I did.  I had fun with this card.  Thanks for the inspiration Elaine!

I flipped the sketch sideways and added a nice heart border to bring home the Valentine's wishes this card brings.  I pulled the sentiment from Uptown Girl Lucille.  Embellished it with a seam binding ribbon and machine stitching.

Next week our challenge is "You are so Sweet"  and you can take that however you'd like.  I know that I'll probably use one of the Stamping Bella's fabulous images with sweets like cookies or cakes.  Can't wait to see your creations.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend!

I just love you...

Hello folks today I have another Valentine's Day card to share with you.  I dug into my Bella stamps and pulled all my VDay stamps out so you should be seeing a few more in the next few weeks.  This is APTEE'tude a Christy Croll design for Stamping Bella.   She was stamped onto Bella's Bestest paper and colored with Copics and then cut out to be the focal point of this card.

The layout was borrowed from Karen Giron.  While I was cruising one day it caught my eye - but I didn't CASE it completely as she used different colors and her center panel was much different but the general layout came from her.  Thanks Karen!

I have hunted and hunted for the sentiment that comes with this stamp but it is MIA.  That happens a lot in my house.  I try like the dickens to keep up with the cleaning of the stamps so they can be put back into their plastic storage bag but sometimes the pile gets away from me.  I end up with pouches and no stamps and stamps without pouches.  Dag nabbit - does this happen to you?  How do you store your Bella images?  Anyway the sentiment for today's card came from a Mo Manning image - Patience.  I think I might have to make a list of all the sentiments and which Bella image they go with since I don't see a sentiments section in the shop any longer.  Hmmm another to do project to add to the list.

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your week!

What's in a picture...

Hello Folks and Happy Bellariffic Friday!  Today's Stamping Bella challenge was a photo inspiration...what do you see when you look at this photo?  I mean there's patterns, layout, colors, theme - lots of things and I'm sure that the Babes will all have a different take.  I took color - the burst of red and soft blues with a subtle showing of yellow and I also took the zig zag pattern in the pillow and curtains. I thought about making a baby card or maybe a childs room card but in the end I decided to create a Valentine's Day card for my stash using two cute kids - Stamping Bella's Millie and Milo exchange prezzies.

Here they are...aren't they so hugable?

Next week we have another sketch challenge and I hope you can find some time to play along.  We have a holiday on Monday here in the states and I'm so looking forward to the extra long weekend to play in the craft cave.  Perhaps you can find some time too!  Don't forget to send a photo of your creation to Emily@stampingbella.com to be included in the Friday blog lineup.  And there's prizes up for grabs - one to a commentor and one to a contributor.  So give it a try.  Oh and you have to see the "specials" category in the Bella shop - there are a ton of stamps that are reduced to tremendously low prices.  Em's clearing out to make room for new stuff and you get the benefit of that.  Oh and she has a new blinkie too.  Check it out here and swap it for the old one.

Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your weekend!

January Oozak Challenge

Happy 15th everyone! As one of the newest members of Oozak's DT you'll be hearing from me on the 15th for the next few months as I share my creation for the challenge Blog.

Our January challenge is ANYTHING GOES WITH PINK AND BLING. I don't know about you but that's a pretty easy one for me. And OOZAK has lots of wonderful stamps and supplies that would be perfect for this challenge. About the hardest thing I had to do was choose which ones to use.  I decided to create a Valentine themed card for my stash using a Saturated Canary image.

How'd you like to join us?  We'd love to have you!  There's also a GDT call so if you're interested be sure to add the tag GDT after your name.  And there's prizes too!  This month it's a COPIC CLASS from Suzanne Dean's Color Me Creative.

Now let's take a look at Krafty Kate
You can easily see the pink in the papers and her skirt and the bling can be found in the Cotton Candy Ranger Stickles and Swarkovski rhinestones.

Here's a closeup. Don't you just love those great big eyes?

Bellariffic Friday on Sunday

Hello folks...today we have Bellariffic Friday's post. I was a little challenged by this week's sketch but I decided to follow it and will tell ya I liked where it went. I choose to color Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Bianca Loves her Big Cake. Of course with the sketch I would only be coloring a portion of this lovely stamp but I wanted to "fit in" as much as I could. I've built the layers behind using the Nesties I had available and believe it or not - a CD as a template for the largest one. This card is going to my niece who is heading to Spain for her next semester in college but will also be there for her 21st Birthday. I thought a little reminder of her roots in the red, white and blue theme and stars and stripes paper would be perfect.

Next week's Bellariffic Friday challenge is a little photo inspiration. Take whatever you can from this photo to motivate you. You can use the colors, the patterns or whatever else you "see" in it to make a card or project. Don't forget to share a photo of your creation by sending it to Emily@stampingbella.com by Thursday night so we can see what you've come up with too. There are prizes up for grabs to one lucky participant and one commentor as well so hop on over to the blog and leave some love.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

White Space....

Hello folks! Today's card is inspired by the last Stamping Bella SCS shallenge - use white space. I know the challenge ended on the 7th and I'm a little late but I was inspiried by it anyway. It reminds me of a back to your roots card. Ya know - back in the day that I simply colored images and showcased them. Today I'm influeneced by all the fabulous papers and embellishments but that doesn't mean that I don't like the simplicity of white space and an awesome image to color.

Cristy Croll's Izzie has long been one of my favorite cutie pies and I thought she would be perfect for sending Thank You sentiments. I have a ton of these to make so I also thought they would be easy to duplicate. And although they are square so they'll cost more to mail (I know but I have a fetish for square cards) they're flat and clear of embellishments.

Pretty easy girls.. Challenge yourself to get back to the basics too!

Enjoy the rest of your week and don't forget our Friday Sketch challenge!

Ooodles of Love

Hello folks. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I spent some time in the 'ole craft room and finally finished off my tag card from Decemeber. Yup, I had the image all colored up and an idea in my head but my mojo left me so it simply sat on my desk. I love when aha moments come though - because this finally got done!

I decided to use Stamping Bella's Uptown Girl Lucille. I know this looks more like a Valentine image but I have alot of love I wanted to send as a thank you to my neighbor. Can't tell you how supportive she has been checking in on my all the time. I liked the idea of making the image into a tag for the focal point and then added lots of glitter and Crystal effects to the hearts for extra shine. You'll even find a few flat backed pearls in Lucille's hair and along the bottom border. I used lots of odds and ends that have been sitting around to make this special....like the piece of satin ribbon (from my grandma stash - she had the craft room to end all) and the red burlap that I bought in Michigan at a LSS about 5 years ago. The sentiment comes with the image and I thought it said exactly what I feel...

New Year...New Uptown Girls

Happy 2013 everyone! I'm back to creating and first up is a sneak peak of one of Stamping Bella's newest Uptown Girls. Meet Audrey Loves Makeup. I believe it's for Audrey Hepburn as her quote is included with the stamp and I just love it! Emily must have known I would be a sucker for the "you are never alone" sentiment. I truly feel that way with all the well wishes that have been sent my way. And checkout those curves...if only I could look that good in 2013!

On to our card... Audrey was stamped onto Bella's Bestest paper and colored with copics. She's adorned with glitter applied with a Quickie Glue pen. Design papers are from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline 6x6 pack. Cardstock is Bazzil. The paper flowers were hand rolled and topped off Kaiser pearls. The sentiment was cut with Nestie Die Labels 11 and the background with Nestie Die Labels 20 and then brushed with Tim Holtz Vintage Linen Distress Ink. The background flag was also hand cut.

I know that the rest of the Babes should have cards to share with you throughout the week as well so stop by to see what else Emily has in store. And I think release day is Friday. Woo Hoo. I love release day!

We have a few things going on too. There is the SCS Bellatastic Tuesday challenge which will close on Monday January 7th and the challenge is to use lots of white space. Our next Bellariffic Friday challenge is January 11th and we have our first sketch challenge. Hope you can play along with us for a chance of Bella Bucks. With the new release coming I'm sure you'd all like some spending cash.

Enjoy your week!
