Dropping you a line...

Yea - it's Sunday and Winter Storm Nemo dropped about 10 inches of fresh snow in my neck of the woods.  After shoveling out the driveway I hunkered down in my craft room to create.  First up I have Ramona Fishing by Stamping Bella.  I love this cute image and find myself pulled to cut the dangling heart out to drop outside my image panel.  I know it's a little time consuming but I love the result so much I don't mind.

I started by stamping the image onto Bella's Bestest paper and coloring with copics.  But I also added some prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol.  Then I cut the image out.  Glued everything together and tada...another card done! 

I'm heading to the ski slopes today - my first time in two years.  Keep your fingers crossed that I come back in one piece!

New Winter Rubbah...

Happy Bellariffic Friday folks. Mr. UPS man arrived on my doorstep yesterday and that meant I was able to delve into some new rubbah!!!! And you will love the new stamps. They come pre-cut and mounted for ease of stamping. They're even a real pretty blue too!

So with this week's snow theme, I pulled Ramona Loves to Glide. I stamped her onto Bella's Bestest paper and colored her with copics. I cut out a little ice rink using a Nestie Petite Oval die and then hand cut the rest of Ramona out to be added to her skates. With the snow theme, I decided to incorporate paper die cut snowflakes using a combo of Memory Box die and Martha Stewart Arctic Snowflake puch topped with a rhinestone, snowflake paper and a snow sentiment.

Design paper is from the My Mind's Eye Be Merry 6x6 pack and cardstock is Bazzil and Bella's delish Kraft. Glitter adorns the ice rink and machine stitching was added to the seams. For a little extra pop, I topped the buttons on Ramona's coat and the dots of her scarf with a Sakura Black Glaze pen. Her fur bordered hat was given a little extra fluff with white flocking adherred atop Art Glitter glue.

Ramona takes to the skies...

Happy Bellariffic Friday folks! This week we had another great sketch from Ebrubella. I've loved having more sketches - have you? It takes so much fretting out of the card making. So armed with the sketch, I set out to color. I'm in a Ramona mood so I pulled another Stamping Bella new release stamp called Ramona and Teddy in their Balloon. Perfect for a pick me up or as a baby card depending on how you color. I went the new baby route. With the awesome polka dots, I choose dp with big polka dots too.

First I stamped Ramona onto Bella's Bestest paper using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I then colored the image with copics and added depth and surround shading with prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol. I also added Antique linen Tim Holtz Distress Ink to the edges of the image panel. This is the first card I've made in a long time that I didn't use a Nestie on. I did however use a Memory Box die to cut out the clouds. I've altered the sketch just a little by omitting one of the layers because the image is a little big and I wanted it to take center stage...well that and I didn't want to hide the polka dot dp.

Speaking of, I used K&Company DP - Small Wonders Boy and matted with Bazzil paper. A seam binding ribbon topped with a hemp bow and buttons were the only other embellishment. Well do you count machine stitching as an embellishment? hehe. Perhaps I shouldn't write this so late on Thursday night!

Next week we challenge you to use flowers on your card - paper, silk, fabric, or maybe in the image or on the design paper. It's almost May so show us your flowers. Ramona loves cake...do You?

Hey there folks. I have a quick card I wanted to share with you today. One of the newest characters to the Bella lineup is Ramona and here she is atop a decadent strawberry garnished chocolate cake. And she brings Birthday wishes. Isn't she so cute? I've stamped her onto Bella's Bestest paper using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored her with a combination of copics and prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol. I then added glitter with a Quickie glue pen to the pink frosting.

The sketch is from Karen Giron's SSSC. This one was designed by Lynn Putt and I loved it. I've used Authentique Splendid dp for the background and the green banners are from MME Stella & Rose Gertie 6x6 pack. The image panel was cut with a Nestie and matted with Bazzil paper. The sentiment comes with the image and was applied with dimensionals. The center border was cut using the Fiskars Jester punch. I topped off each point with tiny pink swarkovski rhinestones. A sheer ribbon bow was added for dimension. The finishing touch is machine stitching.

Bringing Spring Flowers...

Hello folks, Wooee I had a fun weekend. Hubby left on Friday to attend the Final Four college basketball tournament. That meant Cath was able to shop, see a movie, eat what she wanted when she wanted it and create to my hearts content. I even found time to do some household chores. But you probably don't want to hear about my rantings, you're here to see what I made right? Well here's Ramona, one of Stamping Bella's newest members. She's here today to play along with Karen Giron and the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge crew. Pulling her wagon with her flowerpot and tag along birdie, I thought she might help in bringing the feeling of spring your way.

I started by stamping her onto Bella's Bestest paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I colored her with copics and shaded with prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol. Design paper is My Mind's Eye Lost & Foud Two "Breeze" and Miss Caroline Dolled Up. Cardstock base is Stampin' Up! Dusty Durango and Kraft.

Satin Ribbon, machine stitching and three dots made using the Carmine Red Pearl Pen. Easy Peasy. I can see me using this awesome sketch again. Now I have to finish work on the Bellariffic Friday sketch from Ebru. Hope you can play along as well.

Fishing for a Valentine

Happy Bellariffic Friday folks. This week we are sharing Valentine's Day cards. Last month in Stamping Bella's January release there were quite a few Valentine's images released that I couldn't wait to get my hands on. My first pick is Ramona Fishing which comes with the sentiment.

I decided to use a soft pink color scheme so the hearts colored up with new copic color would pop. I also couldn't resist having the heart dangle off the main image panel. Let's get on with the details. I started with Bella's Bestest paper and inked Ramona up with Memento Tuxedo black ink. She was then colored with copics and shaded with prismacolor pencils blended with gamsol. The image panel was cut using circle nesties and then I hand trimmed the heart and attached it. A coat of Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects was applied to make it shine. The sentiment was stamped using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure placement. EK Success scallop punches were used for the sentiment panel. The design paper is from My Mind's Eye Lost and Found collection called Madison Avenue.

I was dying to use some glitter on this but instead left the shining heart to draw you in. Gosh dang I love this image! As a special bonus (and because I didn't use a ton of colors) I have taken a picture of the copics used to make this cutie. I don't think I could do it every week but you get lucky today.

Next week we have yet another fantastic sketch from Ebrubella. And isn't this a funny...I mean I just went to grab the image to insert into my post and the sketch is so similar to my card above.
